Tom M. Coffman, MD has been practicing ophthalmology  since 1973. As the founder of the Visual Health & Surgical Centers, he specializes in cataract, implant and keratorefractive surgery. Dr. Coffman has performed more than 20,000 surgical procedures. According to Allergan, he has implanted more AMO Array Lenses than anyone in the world.

Dr. Coffman, an Ohio native, earned his M.D. degree at the University of Miami while also participating in research at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and Johns Hopkins Medical Center. His internship was in St. Louis at Washington University-Barnes Hospital, and his residency at Ohio State University in Columbus. Dr. Coffman is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American College of Eye Surgeons. His involvement in many South Florida and national ophthalmology groups allows him to bring immediate developments to his patients as they occur.

In 1990, he was certified by the American Board of Eye Surgery, distinguishing himself as a surgeon with skills of excellent quality. His expertise in small-incision and multifocal implant surgery continue to gain him frequent invitations to teach in this country and throughout Europe.

J. Kevin Belville, MD, is a Nebraska native. He obtained both his bachelors and medical degrees from the University of Nebraska. His internship in Internal Medicine was completed at the New Jersey School of Medicine. Following this Dr. Belville completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Cornell Medical Center where he experienced his first teaching appointment as Chief Resident.

During his year fellowship in anterior segment surgery and international ophthalmology aboard ORBIS, a worldwide medical mission teaching program Dr. Belville had the unique opportunity to train surgeons in over a dozen countries worldwide. He completed an additional fellowship in cornea, cataract & refractive surgery at the Dubroff Eye Institute. Dr. Belville has continued his involvement in international humanitarian medical missions with the International Eye Foundation in the Turks & Caicos Islands, ORBIS and with Surgical Eye Expeditions (SEE).  He has served as a civilian staff ophthalmologist at the United States Air force Academy.

Over the past 20 years, Dr. Belville a board certified ophthalmologist, has been an adjunct faculty clinical professor, previously at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC, and currently at UCLA in Los Angeles, California and at the Pacific College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataracts and Refractive Surgery

Dr. Belville has produced instructional LASIK videotapes, written book chapters and journal articles, and has lectured worldwide. Dr. Belville along with Ronald Smith, MD recently published a textbook called LASIK Techniques: Pearls and Pitfalls. He has performed over 18,000 refractive surgical procedures since completing his training. His advanced refractive training includes certification in Custom Lasik on VISX, Bausch & Lomb, and Nidex Lasers. He is certified in Lasik, PRK and Conductive Keratoplasty. Dr. Belville has served as the medical director for one of Colorado’s premier Laser Vision Centers.

Kevin T. Kelly, MD is a specialist in the treatment of retinal and vitreous diseases.  Brooklyn-born and raised in Long Island and New Jersey, Dr. Kelly began his studies at Rutgers University where he earned Bachelor degrees in both Arts and Science. He graduated "High Honors" in Chemical Engineering and Biology and was elected to the Tau Beta Pi Society.

While putting himself through Rutgers University, he worked nights in an Emergency Room in New Brunswick, New Jersey and became interested in Ophthalmology. He earned his Medical Degree from the Rutgers Medical School in 1983. During this time he performed research on diabetes affecting the eye and this is how he became interested in retinal diseases. Dr. Kelly completed an internship in internal Medicine at Staten Island Hospital and his Ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He served as chief resident at the Brooklyn Veterans Hospital, Brooklyn Hospital and Maimonidies Hospital.

Dr. Kelly completed a vitreo-retinal fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He spent two years studying under the preceptorship of Alice McPherson; M.D. Additional studies included the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Chevy Chase, Maryland, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida and Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston, Massachusetts.

He is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology a member of the Vitreous Society, Charles Schepens Society and the Association of Research and Vision of Ophthalmology. He recently participated in a study that led to the FDA approval of a new breakthrough treatment for certain types of Macular Degeneration.
